This sanctum ordered to built by Emperor Go-Toba in 1186 enshrines Amenominakanushi, Kunitokotachi, and the Big Dipper.
It is consisted of three enshrinement buildings.
This shrine is also considered as one of the three most prominent Myoken shrines in the country along with Soma Myoken in Fukushima and Nose Myoken in Osaka.
